Episode 30

How I Stopped Chasing and Started Attracting

Published on: 1st May, 2025

Welcome to the very first episode of The S.O.F.T. Method™ Podcast!

Formerly known as Creative on the Grind, this podcast has officially stepped into its next evolution. Hosted by DeAndra Jalisa, multi-passionate entrepreneur, business coach, and soft life curator, this space is where self-worth meets overflow—and feminine becomes your strategy.

In today’s episode, DeAndra shares the powerful story behind her personal and professional shift:

from chasing success, love, and validation... to attracting everything she desired by simply becoming.

This is your permission slip to let go of pressure, embody your worth, and lean into a softer, more aligned way of living and creating.

💫 In this episode, DeAndra explores:

  • Why over-functioning feels “normal” but leads to burnout
  • The difference between chasing energy vs. attracting energy
  • How childhood patterns can shape your relationships and business habits
  • Her experience with overgiving in dating and entrepreneurship
  • How she reframed rest, stillness, and self-worth in real-time
  • What it really means to “attract what you are”
  • Three signs you're chasing instead of becoming
  • How to embody the woman you see in your vision—and trust it’s already yours

🔥 Key Takeaway:

“You don’t attract what you want—you attract what you are.”

When you stop proving, pushing, and over-functioning, you create space to receive the things that are already aligned with your becoming.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Journal Prompt:

Where in my life am I still chasing instead of becoming?
